Evaluation of diversity, inclusion and AAP in ICRC operations

A group of people at an ICRC distribution in Niger. Most seated in the sand, one girl is standing in the foreground.

This evaluation, completed in 2018, focussed on how the ICRC engages with people affected by conflict and other forms of violence, and how it responds to their diverse needs. The focus was on the extent to which diversity, inclusion, and Accountability to Affected Persons (AAP) were implemented in practice, and how policies and guidance supported implementation. The findings of the evaluation informed the revision of the ICRC's insitutional framework for AAP, strengthening its operational guidance.
